Opening Day

Well, Saturday was a great day for baseball, until you had to stand in the cold and try to not get blown over by the wind.  Saturday marked the 1st day of the local baseball season and the boys were able to walk with 282 other players and their families and friends in the parade.  After the parade and couple of brief speeches, the throwing of the 1st pitch, and the national anthem played on a trumpet the season started.  Both Thomas and Jack had a great game and lots of fun.  Thomas' team doesn't keep score.  Jack's team lost in the bottom of the last inning on a bases clearing hit by the other team.  Jack played Catcher, Pitcher, and 3rd base and did a great job.

There were issues for the board members due to dealing with the local towns but even with those hassles and the lack of township support it was a great opening day.

With all that went into that and my travel schedule last week I didn't get that weekend long run in or a bike ride but that's okay, we'll call it a recovery week.
